Days Of Our Lives News Update: What Kassie DePaiva Has To Say About Returning As Eve Donovan

Days Of Our Lives: Kassie DePaiva (Eve Donavan)NBC Days of our Lives spoilers reveal the fantastic news that Kassie DePaiva is back in Salem and her character Eve Donavan has wasted no time in making her presence known.

Evil Eve has kidnapped poor Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and tied him to a chair in what looks like a fantastical and theatrical setting—she pulled out all the stops to make an impression on the man formerly known as The Necktie Killer.

Will he return to his killing ways? That is what Eve hopes, with a little brainwashing.

Kassie recently sat down with Soap Opera Digest to discuss her return to DOOL and we have her thoughts here.

According to Kassie, she was invited back to do a short story arc, which means we may not be seeing her for long. “Am I coming back to break up Jack and Jennifer?” is what she asked.

When she was told no, the actress soon enough found out that, in her words, she was back as a supervillain. She noted, “’ I’ve been doing soaps for 30 years, I’ve always been a part of, and on the periphery of, characters who come in and play these one-offs and become the bad guys for short-lived story arcs that are going to end.”

Kassie shares that this is the first time she has not played the part of a heroine which is interesting for her as an actress. “Usually I’m the one who gets tied up … that’s how I kind of embraced it because Eve is so different,” from her former One Life to Live character Blair Cramer.

As for her most recent stint on DOOL she shared, “Every time in the walk back on set, the camaraderie, the smell, the feeling … I love it. And Eve’s over-the-top fun.” Does that mean we might be lucky enough to see her again in Salem?
