Days of Our Lives Preview: Doug Exits, Ari’s Escape Complication, Sophia’s Cover Story

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal a preview clip has been released for the week of July 21, 2025. It shows Doug Williams III (Peyton Meyer) saying goodbye to Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes).

Doug Williams III Exits

Let’s begin with Doug, who makes good on his promise to Tate. Before taking off from Salem, Doug pays a visit to Julie.

The preview clip shows Julie telling Doug that he has great potential. It seems that they share a civil moment, so maybe Doug finally gets that necklace back for her.

Ari Horton’s Escape Attempt

Over with Ari, she is still being held hostage with Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis). Fans know that Holly seems to feel useless, but Ari keeps encouraging her to keep her strength up.

Ari also told Holly that they can’t wait around to be rescued, that they need to get out of there now.

In the preview clip, Ari seems to find a grate that opens. The teenager is convinced that she came fit through it and make it out to freedom.

Ari wants Holly to come along but the blonde seems frozen. Then, later in the clip, it appears that Ari is in that vent but she starts screaming as everything shakes.

Sophia Choi’s New Story

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of July 21 reveal that Sophia finally works up the nerve to call Tate. The teenager will give Tate a new story about the baby.

While Brady Black (Eric Martsofl) stands by his son, Tate reels over Sophia claiming she gave up the baby already.

There will also be EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), who makes a promise to Belle Black (Martha Madison) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). Later, EJ gets hypnosis with the psychiatrist.

Gwen Rizczech von Leuschner (Emily O’Brien) faces off with Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez).

Plus, Marlena passed out in Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) arms in a courtroom. As EJ and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) helplessly watch, Belle begs her mom to wake up.

Fans, don’t worry too much. The official spoilers state that Marlena has a health scare. So, Marlena will be okay for the timing being. At the same time, could she have more of these incidents?
