Some fans are speculating that Brandon Barash, who portrayed Stefan DiMera, could make a comeback. Would he return as the character he played or someone else? This is a long shot, but Stefan could have a twin somewhere out there. The theory came about after Barash spoke to Soap Opera Digest a few weeks ago. He was asked if he would ever return to the daytime series. He couldn’t give a definitive answer because it would depend on a lot of factors.
However, the actor did say it would be fun if Stefan had a twin that came to Salem. He added that the twin should be the complete opposite of the deceased character. A good guy, perhaps a police officer or even a Federal agent.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that fans are disappointed Brandon was written out of the soap opera. His character wasn’t very likable in the beginning. However, as the months went by, viewers saw a complex and complicated character. They began observing that Stefan had his positive traits.
As far as his death, there is speculation that the man who was shot by Lani Price (Sal Stowers) wasn’t really Stefan. It is rumored that it was actually an imposter and the real Stefan will eventually return. If this actually happens, who was pretending to be Stefan DiMera? What were their motivations? If it were not Stefan, then that means Vivian Alamain (Robin Strasser) was not his mother. So, why would the imposter jump in front of the villainess, risking his own life?
On the other side of the coin, the imposter could be coming to Salem in the future. If this turns out to be accurate, then it might be an emotionally overwhelming storyline for Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus).

There is a theory circulating the Internet that more DiMeras could be headed to Salem. We have been surprised before when another one of Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) secret children pops up. It isn’t too far-fetched to wonder if it will happen again. Let’s face it, the number of family members is dwindling. Even Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) mentioned it.
As a core family in Salem, there needs to be some more of them. Sure, more dead DiMeras could be resurrected. However, it would be more fun and interesting to meet some new ones. As a bonus, writers should consider balancing the family out by adding females to the bloodline.
