NBC Days of Our Lives spoilers say that while everyone wants to believe that Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) is ‘that nice guy’ in Salem that just wants the best for everyone, that’s not always the case. In fact, Tripp often finds himself on the wrong side of the tracks, if not also the law. With that said, we’ve got five reasons why everyone believes that Tripp Dalton is a shady character.

#1 Tripp Dalton Tried To Frame Ben Weston

Many Days of Our Lives fans can remember that several years ago when Tripp was in a committed relationship with Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal), he confessed to her that he was the one who planted evidence in framing Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). This was all because of his growing jealousy and his overprotectiveness towards Ciara. And while it might have looked like Tripp was willing to die for Ciara at the time, he ended up breaking her heart completely by falling in love with Hayley Chen (Thia Megia). Clearly, Tripp is the kind of guy who only wants what he can’t have.

#2 Tripp Dalton’s Marriage To Hayley Chen

Tripp ended up being in a committed relationship with Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) only to marry Hayley during this same time in order to help her from getting deported back to China. Claire couldn’t contain herself and almost tried to burn the two of them alive in pure rage and jealousy. After Claire was apprehended for her crimes and sent to the hospital for psychiatric treatment, Tripp ended up falling in love with Hayley, only to make her confused over the entire situation, too.

#3 Tripp Dalton’s Selective Amnesia

After being away for nearly a year, Tripp came home to Salem only to find himself carried away in more drama. While his parents are happy to see him again and he’s managed to fix things with his ex-girlfriend Claire, he has not been accused of possibly assaulting Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) during their time together in London during their Christmas break.

The only problem is that Tripp doesn’t remember anything of what happened, prompting many to believe that he might have selective amnesia. That, or he just doesn’t want to admit the fact that he is Henry Horton’s biological father.
