Rafe assumed that Nicole was uncertain because of her feelings for Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan). Nicole assured Rafe that her marriage to Eric is over, and they had both moved on. Then, Nicole agreed to marry Rafe.

Afterward, Nicole and Rafe shared the news with a bratty Holly Jonas (Elin Alexander). However, Holly clearly prefers Eric as her stepfather. Of course, there is also the news that Eric is staying in Salem as he was kicked out of the priesthood.

Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) still loves Abe Carver (James Reynolds). However, for a long time, Abe just couldn’t trust Paulina after the secret about Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) was exposed during their first wedding.

Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) pushed Abe to tell Paulina how she felt. Despite Paulina facing murder charges, she will be released on bail. Expect Abe and Paulina to become official. Abe might even propose to Paulina, eager not to waste any time.

Even though Rafe and Nicole might get married, the relationship won’t last. Nicole will give in to her feelings for Eric. So, expect Rafe to get married only to get a divorce shortly afterward.

Lucas and Sami are certainly doomed. Plus, with Sweeney only coming back for brief stints, Sami might not end up with anyone. Sami could leave Salem a single woman.
