Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: 5 Major Cast Shakeups Revealed - Salem Faces A Massive UpheavalDays Of Our Lives Spoilers: Shocking Departures Ahead- Jada’s Exit and 4 More Major Cast Changes Revealed! Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease there are some shocking departures ahead on the Peacock soap.

Elia Cantu has confirmed that she has finished her role as Jada Hunter, along with several other significant changes, including five more departures and a few new characters appearing.

Jada Hunter Is Leaving Salem

We have some major casting news to share; first up, Jada Hunter is leaving Salem.Actress Elia Cantu announced on her social media that she is departing from Days of Our Lives.

Elia first appeared as Jada on July 19, 2022, when she came to town to apply for a detective role with the Salem PD.

Jada is a legacy character; her father was Dr. Marcus Hunter (Richard Biggs), who was last seen around 1992.

Elia Was Removed From The Credits In March

We got a hint of Jada’s exit when Elia was removed from the Days credits in March.

At that point, it seemed she was off contract and would be recurring. The assumption was that we would still see her as Jada Hunter.

Over the nearly four years since her debut, she has grown closer to Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) and was even promoted to police commissioner. However, her final exit date is still unknown.

Elia Said It Was An Honor To Play The Role

In her exit announcement, Elia expressed that it was an honor to play Jada Louise Hunter.

She thanked the cast, crew, and fans, and mentioned her excitement for her next adventure, though her IMDb page shows no new projects yet.

Remember, her co-star Brandon Beemer was fired and then brought back in 2023, along with Ari Zucker (she actually quit), Camila Banus, Martha Madison, Nadia Bjorlin, and others during the Albert Alarr bloodbath.

Jada Is At The Center Of The Drama Right Now

Currently, Jada is at the center of drama, having to draw an uncomfortable line between friendship and duty.

She might have to arrest her best friend Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) for shooting at Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins).

Additionally, Jada and Shawn are heating up this week, moving towards a real romance and likely getting intimate again soon.

Luckily, due to the 9-to-10-month tape delay for Days of Our Lives, we will see more of Jada and Shawn before Elia Cantu’s run ends in early 2027.

Multiple Exits Are Coming

Perhaps Jada and Shawn will leave town together since it seems like characters are departing in pairs lately.

Remember, when the actors returned from their holiday break in January, Carson Boatman (Johnny DiMera), Raven Bowens (Chanel Dupree), Leo Howard (Tate Black), and Ashley Puzemis (Holly Jonas) all received pink slips instead of bonuses.

This means we will soon say farewell to Johnny and Chanel, who are currently  dealing with her high-risk pregnancy complicated by breast cancer.

There’s also corporate turmoil at DiMera Enterprises, with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) getting into more trouble that Johnny, as CEO, has to manage alongside Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews).

Chanel and Johnny might decide to take their children and leave Salem to escape EJ, but if she dies, he may move with his kids to Italy to live near his mother, Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney).

Tate And Holly Exit

We will also say goodbye to Tate Donovan Black (Leo Howard) and Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis).

Right now, Sophia Choi’s (Rachel Boyd) mom, Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson), is planning to sue Holly in civil court over Sophia’s suspected suicide.

Since her body hasn’t been found, Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) continues to evade justice, framed for murder as a suicide.

However, Sophia might still be alive and plotting her return; she could come back to confront Tate and Holly.

Holly And Tate Could Flee To Paris, Or They Could Leave Separately

Alternatively, Tate and Holly might flee to Paris to escape the drama in Salem and Amy Choi.

They could settle near her mom, Nicole Walker (last played by Arianne Zucker), and his uncle, Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).

Additionally, Holly and Tate will soon be at the hospital with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey). Holly is denying that she’s using pills again, but some were found on her, and she’s yelling at Tate to leave.

This could lead to their breakup, prompting Holly to go to Paris while Tate heads west to be with his mom, Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien).

Lexie Lives, Only To Die Again?

Next up, we have actress Nikki Crawford, who portrays Lexie Carver; her time on the Peacock soap opera was a brief six-month engagement.

Therefore, Nikki Crawford concluded her role several months ago and has since moved on.

Now, we are simply waiting to find out when and how Lexie will exit Salem once more.

She first appeared on March 6, meaning Nikki Crawford’s six-month tenure should come to an end around early September.

Meanwhile, Lexie is already showing signs from Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) resurrection serum failing, he was very upset when two of his lab rats died.

After all, returning from the dead after being frozen for 15 years in a pod is no easy feat.

After Several Years, Kristen Is Leaving

Ultimately, we will see Kristen DiMera leaving Salem during the summer months.

It seems that Stacy Haiduk’s character is being hunted down by EJ or, more probably, one of his goons.

Once he learns that Kristen tried to convince Sophia to kill Johnny, it will be the end for her; EJ is going to eliminate her as if she were yesterday’s trash.

Thankfully for Stacy Haiduk, she has moved on to another captivating soap role, where she plays Patty Williams on Young and the Restless; which was actually her role before playing Kristen.

She is truly excelling on Y&R, portraying yet another crazy villainess with nefarious plans.

Al Calderon’s Final Airdate As Javi Is Coming Up

We are on the verge of learning Al Calderon’s final air date as Javi Hernandez. Al departed after securing a role in NBC’s prime time drama, Brilliant Minds.

Unfortunately, that news has taken a turn for the worse as the show has been abruptly cancelled and will not return for another season.

Meanwhile, Jacob Martinez has stepped into the role of Javi.

Things are heating up for him as his new boyfriend, Gus (Michael Ocampo), is relocating to Salem after landing a job as a firefighter there; he’ll premiere June 30th.

Peter Porte Returns As Dimitri

In other news regarding cast changes, Peter Porte is making a return this summer as the charming Dimitri von Leuschner DiMera.

Meanwhile, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) has confided in Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) that she’s been bombarded with hateful texts from Dimitri.

He  is taunting her to keep spending his money because it won’t last forever.

He’s gathering evidence to bring her down.

When he returns, Leo will be attempting to persuade Dimitri to strike a deal with him after turning down an offer from Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).

Sofia Mattsson Debuts

Additionally, in early 2027, Sofia Mattsson is set to make her debut on Days of Our Lives.

Having recently appeared on General Hospital, she now takes on a new contract role in Days; we believe you all are going to adore her.

Currently, it’s reported that she will portray a completely new character, however,  this new character could actually be Abigail DiMera.

She may be  suffering from amnesia, and not a new character at all.

Sofia Mattsson truly has the ideal appearance to step into the role of Abigail-but we won’t know for another six months.
