NBC Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates reveal DOOL will soon see a new face in Salem. Actress Isabel Durant has taken over as the character Claire Brady. Here are a few things you need to know about this multi-talented actress!

#1 A True Aussie Beauty

Even though she is playing a Salem native, Isabel Durant actually hails from Sydney, Australia. Even though she lives in Los Angeles now, she often goes back home to Sydney to see her family and friends. As a matter of fact, Isabel and her fiancé Danny announced their engagement via her Instagram account in December of last year. So far the couple has not made any comments about heir wedding plans.

#2 She Wanted To Become A Dancer

Even though Isabel will soon become a household name, or at least for the daytime television world thanks to her new role as Claire on Days of Our Lives, she actually wanted to become a dancer before she pursued acting. Isabel began seriously dancing at age 15 while she was a student at the Loreto Kirribilli in Sydney.

#3 Reality Star Fame

Because of her dancing talent and fancy footwork, Isabel’s first television appearance was on the hit dancing reality show, So You Think You Can Dance Australia. She was a Top 20 finalist during season three of the show. Realizing that she has true potential, Isabel decides to attend open auditions for television shows in Australia. In 2014, she joined the cast of Mako: Island of Secrets, playing a mermaid by the name of Ondina.

#4 She Has Primetime Experience

Even though this is Isabel’s first time on daytime television, she had actually appeared on a primetime series in the past. She was in three episodes of the American-Australian comedy-drama Camp which aired back on NBC 2013. Clearly, the peacock station is Isabel’s home away from home. In addition, she also appeared in the teen drama series Dance Academy.

Former Claire Brady portrayer Olivia Rose Keegan has left some pretty big shoes to fill as she won a Daytime Emmy Award for playing the troubled, if not sometimes also psychotic Claire Brady.
