However, what is the reason? Abigail must have done something, perhaps a shocking crime by one of her alternate personalities. Gwen must have a reason why she’s after her.

Abigail doesn’t remember most of what happened while her alternates took control, but she did recall a few incidents after getting treatment. So, it’s possible that “Gabigail” might have done something horrible and Abigail is just now facing the consequences of that crime.

Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) was convinced that the person who drugged Abigail was Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus). After all, she’s done that sort of thing before. But Gabi insisted that she was innocent this time and she wasn’t convicted when it went to trial. Chad hung onto the belief that Gabi was responsible. However, we now know that it was Gwen all along.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that after Abigail came home from Florida, Gwen tried to play nice. She even tries to convince Abigail to let her help with the children. While nobody was looking, Gwen drugged Abigail’s drink. However, she never got the chance to sip from it, but Gwen is going to keep trying. In fact, it is confirmed that Gwen continues plotting against Abigail.

DOOL – There’s a Reason

Gwen’s only connection in Salem prior to her arrival was Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash), who knew nothing of the DiMera family. There was also Claire Brady (Isabel Durant), but they met in the psychiatric hospital and didn’t know each other before that. However, Gwen is angry about something, which is why we see her fly off the handle and self-medicate with alcohol. She isn’t targeting everyone in the DiMera family. It just seems to be Abigail and there must be a reason for that.

Although some suggest Gwen wants Chad (and the DiMera fortune), she wouldn’t go through trying to viciously harm Abigail. She would find an easier way to get the wife out of the way. The hatred and bitterness on Gwen’s face and the fact that mysteriously found her way into the DiMera family so quickly is interesting.

It suggests that Gwen’s scheme is personal and she is getting revenge on Abigail. So, what did she do, and will the truth come out before Gwen does something she can’t take back?
