When the devil played mind games with Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens), the truth came out at the worst possible time… at Abe and Paulina’s wedding.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that actor James Reynolds teased that Abe might not ever recover from the parentage bombshell. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, the actor explained that Abe still has feelings for Paulina. However, he is completely devastated over learning the truth. Not only has he lost a daughter, but it also means he isn’t a grandfather to Lani and Eli Grant’s (Lamon Archey) twins.

Reynolds told the publication there is doubt that Abe will fully recover. Over time, Abe might find happiness again and could seem okay. However, this will have a lasting impact on him. The actor explained,

“Abe definitely has feelings for Paulina, but those feelings are different now. There’s real doubt if he can ever recover and trust her again. This is the second gigantic lie she’s told him. This could be the final straw. The camel’s back may be irrevocably broken.”
