The more he watches the taped soap opera “Body and Soul” the more he realizes she’s living out the lives of the characters in it, with him as “Rhett”!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Abe Carver Realized Who He Is, Memory Being Triggered
When Whitley left Abe to go to Salem University Hospital that day, she probably forgot that there was a news interruption on one of her tapes. Charlemagne (Deidre Hall) and Kassandra’s (Mary Beth Evans) argument over Rhett was interrupted by a news announcement from the 1980s where Abe had become Mayor of Salem and gave a speech.
Abe realized that was a much younger him, and that means he must be the Mayor, even though his memory wouldn’t reveal if he’s still mayor.
As Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) knocked on the door, he remembered Whitley’s warning that his assailant was dressed as a cop, and not to answer the door to cops. But gradually, Abe’s memory is being triggered-he’d had a dream with Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) in it, and knew Whitely wasn’t her-and other triggers as well.

As Abe continues to watch the soap after his years-old mayoral acceptance speech finishes up, he starts to realize a few things. It triggers him when Kassandra is fighting with Charlemagne that Charlemagne can’t steal her husband Rhett, and Charlemagne snarks she’d never gotten her hooks into him if he hadn’t had amnesia.
Even though Abe has amnesia, his old detective instincts are right on the target-Whitley is Kassandra, Charlemagne his real wife, and he’s Rhett, although he still doesn’t remember Paulina’s name. Abe does know his real wife is the woman he saw in his dream when he questioned Whitley if she was really his wife and realizes she’s living Kassandra’s life!
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Abe Carver’s Kidnapped By A Psycho
Abe realizes, even though he doesn’t have full recall, that he’s been kidnapped by a psycho who thinks he’s her husband! For all he knows, she could have been obsessed with him and stalked him for years, and never had the opportunity till now to snatch him.

It could have started with that very news interruption and her twisted mind pulled all of that together, and the more he thinks about it, the more he realizes he’s right.
The memory of him working in an ice cream shop goes back before he was even a cop, and she must have researched his history. Abe is in no shape to try to break free from his wheelchair but he has to do something-Whitley is definitely not his wife!
