Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) will realize he blew it when he hit ignore on Stephanie Johnson’s (Abigail Klein). He will find out later that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) was trying to reach Stephanie about her mother, who has relapsed with no antidote available.

Stephanie was freshening up as she and Alex were in the bedroom, getting ready to consummate their new romantic relationship. Alex couldn’t let Chad interrupt that, so he pressed ignore on her phone. He and Stephanie had just made up after a fight where she reminded him that she was not his property, over a jealous confrontation with Chad earlier.

They had been this close to intimacy several times previously, always being interrupted by Chad and Alex wasn’t going to let him ruin it this time. Alex doesn’t want any interruptions to his and Stephanie’s romantic first time together making love so he turned off her phone.

DOOL Spoilers – Inconvenient Visit

Chad was at the Brady Pub and caught Kate Brady (Lauren Koslow) as she fainted, and she died a couple of hours later from relapsing from the toxin, with no antidote. Then he finds out that Kayla Johnson, (Mary Beth Evans) Stephanie’s mother, passed out at work at Salem University Hospital and there’s no way to create an antidote. Chad knows with Kate already passed and Kayla failing quickly, he has to call all the relatives and first one is Stephanie, right there in Salem. When he can’t reach her, Chad goes to the Kiriakis mansion in person to see if she’s there with Alex and she is. Alex’s heart sinks to his stomach when Chad tells them Kayla is in serious condition and Kate already dead-and realized that’s why Chad was calling.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Some ‘Splainin’ To Do

Alex knows he could have some ‘splainin’ to do but for the time being he rushes to the hospital with Chad and Stephanie to give her support. He feels very guilty about pressing ignore on Chad’s call and then shutting off her phone, and he knows he’s blown it. Eventually he’ll have to answer for his actions, but for now they all are in a state of family emergency together.

He knows if Kayla dies, which it certainly seems that she might, he could’ve been responsible for Stephanie missing the last few minutes with her mother. Luckily, she is still alive although she’s fading fast, and he’s not sure if she knows her daughter is there.
