However, she is not ready for a serious relationship.

Feelings For Chanel Dupree

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Allie does have unresolved feelings for Chanel. The actress explained, “It wouldn’t be a predictable love story for her because it’s completely new to her; the feelings that she’s having for Chanel are not feelings she’s ever had for anyone else, so I think she’s just a little overwhelmed… she doesn’t have the energy to deal with that at the moment and it’s not what she needs, even though it’s sometimes what she wants.”

With that being said, Arnold made it clear that Allie’s feelings for Chanel only play a small role in the “L” awkwardness. The actress explained that the bigger issue for Allie is her insecurity.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Allie Horton’s Insecurity

Allie has never had the type of relationship where someone told her that they loved her. So, that is one issue. Plus, Allie had a rollercoaster year and feels that she needs safety and stability, which is what Tripp is providing her at the moment. Arnold also said that Allie sometimes feels as if she doesn’t deserve to be loved.

“… she’s still learning to accept the fact that she does deserve this pure, unfiltered, honest love from Tripp. It’s more about her own insecurities that she has because she’s protecting herself more than being about her feelings for Chanel, although that still does play a role.”
