Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Amy’s Killer Move, Shoots EJ to Save Sophia’s Baby?Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) gets shot on Thursday, April 3, 2025. There are a long list of suspects, but the real shooter could be someone totally unexpected.

There are likely to be a few false leads and arrests, as well as one glaring red herring. However, could the shooter actually be super-religious and super-strict mama bear Amy Choi (Shi Ne Nielson)? Keep reading and let’s talk about what could happen with this storyline.

EJ DiMera’s Shooting

This Thursday, EJ will get shot. In a preview clip, EJ casually turns to look at someone and then is struck with a bullet. EJ doesn’t seem nervous, on guard, scared, or even angry before the shot is fired.

So, EJ certainly doesn’t expect this person to shoot him. In fact, this person could be a total non-threat to EJ – at least, until that trigger is pulled.

Multiple Suspects & Red Herrings

The soap has been setting up EJ’s whodunit for a while now. There are no shortage of suspects and these are people who would feel justified in killing EJ.

The man’s fate isn’t clear at the moment, but we know he does get hospitalized. Whether he makes it out of the hospital or not is unknown.

As for the investigation, fans already saw Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) with a gun. However, she is likely a red herring.

Then, the weekly preview clip shows many Salemites with guns, including Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow), Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor).

While nearly everyone would have a reason to shoot EJ, the actual criminal might be someone totally unexpected.

Amy Choi’s Surprise Move

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) has begged her mother to approve an adoption. Sophia isn’t ready to be a teen mom and has big aspirations for the future. Sophia also doesn’t want to be tied to a guy who isn’t totally into her.

Amy has blocked each potential adoptive couple. The closest that Sophia and Tate Black (Leo Howard) have gotten is Johnny and Chanel Dupree-DiMera (Raven Bowens).

After EJ’s crimes hit The Spectator, the adoption was canceled. However, Paulina Price (Jackee Harry) mentioned smoothing things over with Amy.

Unfortunately, despite JANEL moving out of the DiMera mansion, Amy still has an issue with EJ. Amy doesn’t want EJ anywhere near her grandchild.

Mother’s Loving Explanation

Even though Amy seems overbearing and controlling, she might earn redemption in the end. For one thing, Amy knows Sophia and Tate aren’t ready to be parents.

Part of Amy might not want someone else to call the baby their “grandchild.” Even though Johnny and Chanel make all kinds of promises, Amy understands that family ties are strong.

Perhaps Amy shoots EJ to protect her grandchild from being raised around evil? Even though she keeps blocking the adoption, maybe in her heart, she knows JANEL are the right parents… as long as EJ is out of the picture.
