Days of Our Lives’ Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) talks with Dr. Rolf (William Utay) as she works her hands free. Stefano Dimera/Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) arrives and asks if Kayla is going somewhere. Kayla tells Stefano to let go of her. Kayla says Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) is as smitten with Kayla as Steve was.

Stefano wants Marlena to choose him of her own free will. Stefano says he and Marlena are meant to share true love. Kayla tells Stefano that possession is not love. Rolf says there ware different ways to coax things along.

Hattie tells Roman that Stefano couldn’t hurt her so he’s not going to hurt Kayla. Roman thanks Hattie for helping him at the pub. Roman kisses Hattie on the cheek for a thank you. Roman apologizes for making Hattie feel uncomfortable. Hattie mentions that Roman has kissed her twice and wants to know if it means something. Hattie needs to ask if there is a future for her and Roman now. Hattie tells Roman he knows how she feels about him. Hattie wants to know if there is more to it than this.

Days of Our Lives’ Justin tells John Black (Drake Hogestyn) that Steve has Kayla. Justin tells John what happened with Steve and that he wants Marlena. John and Justin need Hattie’s help. Hattie tries to finish the conversation with Roman but they won’t let it go. Roman and Hattie talk to Justin and John about Stefano’s deal. Roman doesn’t like that they want Hattie to pretend to be Marlena again.

Hattie says she’s in if they need her. Roman is worried sick about Kayla but it’s not right to put Hattie back in the lion’s den. Hattie tells Roman she wants to help. Roman says Stefano almost strangled Hattie to death. Hattie wants to help Roman’s family and help him. Justin says it is Hattie’s call to make. Stefano calls back and Justin says he has talked to Marlena. Hattie plays Marlena and agrees to the switch.

The prison officials hang up on Ciara and she heads out to save Ben. Ciara and Will head to the Kiriakis mansion to save Sonny. Ciara rushes to the prison but the warden refuses to listen.

Days of Our Lives’ Marlena arrives for Ben’s execution, she is the only witness. Marlena is touched the Will Horton (Chandler Massey) could be there for Ben. Ben is strapped to the gurney as his execution begins. Ben is raised up to face Marlena and Will. Ciara rushes in and tries to stop the execution. Ciara explains to the warden what she and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) has discovered. Marlena asks if she has proof. Marlena tries to get the warden to hold off on the execution.

Ciara tells them that Evan Frears/Christian Maddox (Brock Kelly) kidnapped the baby. The warden says the only way this execution stops is with a stay from the governor. Ciara and Will go after Evan. Ciara promises to bring Evan there and make him confess. Marlena tries to delay the execution. The warden orders them to proceed with the execution. Marlena calls Abe Carver (James Reynolds) to call the governor. The doctor explains to Ben what is about to happen to him. Ben begs for a chance to let Ciara prove Ben’s innocence. The governor calls but refuses to stay the execution. The first injection is given to Ben. Marlena tells ben how sorry she is.

Days of Our Lives’ Evan pulls a gun on Sonny Kiriakis (Freddy Smith). Evans tells Sonny he needs his help. Evan tells Sonny that Rafe fired him because he changed his name. Evan says he couldn’t let Rafe know that he’s David Ridgeway’s (Caleb and Kyler Ends) father. Evan tells Sonny that Evan is his and Jordan Ridgeway’s (Chrishell Stause) son together. Sonny is shocked the Evan slept with a woman. Evan has been with both men and women. Sonny cannot believe he’s hearing this right now. Evan says Jordan was offbeat. Sonny wants to know what Evans means by that.

Evan tells Sonny he didn’t know about the baby. Evan says he saw Jordan’s pictures and tracked her down to Salem. Evan says no court would let him have his son. Sonny asks what crimes Evan committed. Evan did what he had to do to be close to his son. Evan says they could have been a perfect family. Evan wants money from Sonny to leave town. Sonny asks where the baby is. Evan cannot lose his son again. Evan needs money for a fresh start. Ciara and Will arrive. Evan points a gun at Ciara. Ciara tells them that Evan killed Jordan. Sonny is shocked to find out that Evan is a killer. Evan shoves Sonny out of the way and points the gun at Ciara again.
