Justin wants to know why Steve took the gun from him and didn’t kill Orpheus. Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) says she knows why Steve did it. Kayla explains that Steve didn’t want Justin to become a killer. Justin says Orpheus taunted him. Kayla loves Justin because he is a compassionate man. Justin wants Orpheus to pay. Justin thinks he knows why Steve didn’t kill Orpheus.

Lani talks to Kayla about the home test. Lani waits for results and remembers losing her baby. Eli swears Justin to secrecy. Kayla returns with the results. Eli says that his wedding is happening soon. Eli doesn’t want to waste another second. Justin has something important to do and leaves. Lani tells Eli she’s pregnant and doesn’t think she can have this baby.

Days Of Our Lives Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) is about to be attacked again at the garage. The men start to go after Ben for not revealing his boss’ location. Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) saves Ben. One of the men grabs Ciara as the other goes after Ben. Ciara tells them they are messing with the necktie killer. Ben threatens to come after them.

The two leave promising to be back. Ben Holds Ciara and tries to calm her down. Ben tells Ciara that whole spitfire thing could have gotten her into trouble. Ciara hopes it is ok that she outed him as the necktie killer. Ben wonders why Ciara isn’t with her mother. Ciara tells Ben that her grandmother agreed to marry them. Ciara wants Ben to quit his job. Ben tells Ciara it was hard to get this job. Ciara wants to know what good that will be if he ends up dead. Jake arrives and Ben tells him about the encounter. Ben tells Jake he won’t be back until he gets answers.

Days of Our Lives Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) stops by the police station to visit Gabi Dimera (Camila Banus). Jake wants to know what Gabi tries to fry his brain. Gabi tries to explain that she loves him and didn’t want to hurt him. Gabi explains that Dr. Rolf (William Utay) set her up. Jake says it obviously lied if he set her up. Gabi still believes he’s Stefan Dimera (Brandon Barash).

Jake tells Gabi that he’s never been dead so he cannot have been brought back from the dead. Gabi cannot lose hope believing that Jake is Stefan. Jake hopes that Gabi gets a couple of years in prison. Jake tells Gabi what Kayla said to him. Gabi tells Jake that she was framed. Jake hopes he never sees Gabi again. Gabi tells Jake he is wrong about her. Gabi explains to Jake why she went after Abby Dimera (Kate Mansi). Jake tells Gabi he’s sorry for what she’s been through but he is not her dead husband. Jake runs into Kate in the lobby and professes that he is not Stefan.

Kate asks if they have nothing else to say to their old partner in crime. Kate tells Hope and Steve that Abe Carver (James Reynolds) wants to give them a key to the city. Hope and Steve want no part of this plan. Kate leaves and Hope suggests it’s time to get rid of their guilt. Steve says guilt is a useless emotion. Hope says guilt is what is keeping Steve from Kayla. Steve says Kayla is with Justin.

Hope tells Steve he pushed Kayla away. Steve says he should have come home when Kayla asked. Hope wonders if steve can move on. Steve admits that he still loves Kayla. Steve always had a habit of making decisions without Kayla. Steve is never going to hurt Kayla again. Hope calls Steve a coward. Hope wants Steve to let Kayla make her own decision. Steve says Kayla may turn him down. Hope says at least you would have tried. Steve goes to speak to Kayla as Justin talks to Adrienne’s grave.
