Kristen thanks Brady for trying to support her. Kristen needs to accept that her daughter is dead. Brady tells her the baby is alive. Brady tells Kristen that their baby didn’t die that night. Brady says the baby in that grave is Eric and Sarah’s. Kristen asks if Brady has proof. Brady tells her he has the DNA results.

Brady tells Kristen that Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) ordered the test and show her the results. Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole visit the baby’s grave. Kristen thanks both of them. Eric talks to his daughter at her grave. Brady and Kristen go to their hotel. Brady wants to give Sarah time to say goodbye. Kristen doesn’t want to wait another day. Brady tells Kristen that Xander was behind this.

Kayla tells Steve that Adrienne died. Kayla tells Steve that Adrienne was killed in a car accident. Kayla explains about the accident. Steve cries and Kayla tries to comfort him. Kayla tells Steve it happened a year ago on Mother’s Day. Steve says he should have been there. Kayla says there was nothing Steve could have done. Steve says he loved his sister, Kayla reassure him that she knew that.

Xander says he walked in as the doctor was examining the baby. Xander says the doctor told him there was nothing they could do. Xander had to come up with some way to fix it. Sarah asked if Xander didn’t think they would find out. Xander loves her so much, Sarah doesn’t believe him. Sarah says Xander has hurt her more than anyone in his life. Xander says he was trying to protect Sarah. Sarah tells Xander that isn’t love. Sarah says he let her believe Brady and Kristen’s baby was hers.

Sarah says Brady and Kristen are going to want their daughter. Xander wants to take the baby and run away. Sarah doesn’t care what Xander says, that isn’t her daughter. Xander wants to run before Brady and Kristen show up. Xander has to be crazy, she never wants to see him again. Xander says Sarah can’t mean that. Sarah needs to say goodbye to her baby. Steve says he did some pretty bad things. Steve would never deliberately be that hateful. Steve made a bad decision.

Steve should have come home sooner and none of this would have happened. Jennifer and Kayla talk about Steve. Jennifer asks what is next for Kayla and Steve now. Kayla was his doctor up until now. Kayla talks about bringing Steve back. Kayla says it could have been a coincidence. Jennifer says it was their love that brought Steve back. Jennifer asks if Steve knows about Justin. Kayla says this changes everything. Justin arrives at the hospital. Justin says they seem to be having a serious conversation. Kayla says Steve regained his memory.

Justin says that’s amazing. Kayla tells Justin that she told Steve about Adrienne. Justin says that must have been awful for Kayla. Jack tries to comfort Steve. Steve loves Kayla more than anything on this earth but he had to be a hero. Steve tells Jack that he tore Kayla’s life apart. Kayla is a survivor and moved on. Steve thinks Kayla may be over him. Justin offers to take Kayla home for dinner and to rest. Jack asks if Steve really thinks Kayla is done with him. Steve understands why Kayla is with Justin. Jacks says Justin and Kayla helped each other.

Steve tells Jack that Kayla brought him back. Steve was sure he and Kayla were still married. Steve says Kayla told him about Adrienne. Steve says this is not going to be that simple. Steve may have lost Kayla for good. Kayla tells Justin she doesn’t know what to say. Justin tells Kayla she knows where to find him if she needs him and leaves.
