Jake tells Chad he isn’t that kind of guy. Jake wants what he is entitled to. Jake wants to be co-CEO of Dimera, Chad says no. Chad and Jake argue over who has the right to run Dimera. Jake and Chad continue to argue as Kate Dimera (Lauren Koslow) tries to keep the peace. Jake goes back to the mansion and hears Gwen talking to Stefano Dimera’s (Joe Mascolo) portrait. Kate chases Chad down and tries to reason with him.

Kristen asked why Eli brought the confession to her. Lani asks for Trask to take it easy on Kristen. Lani says Melinda had no idea what was going on but she does. Lani tells Melinda how her little boy was stillborn. Lani doesn’t want to diminish Melinda’s loss. Melinda talks about giving her daughter away. Melinda wanted to blame everyone. Lani tells Melinda that the same thing will happen if she sends Kristen to prison. Melinda remembers her conversation with Eli. Lani urges Melinda to end this.

Eli says Lani will be punished if Kristen escapes. Eli pushes Kristen to confess to protect Lani. Eli erases the voice recording and says thank you, Kristen.
