Days of Our Lives spoilers teased that the twins who portrayed Ari Horton for six years recently said goodbye. Harper and Sydnee Udell have been replaced by 10-year-old Sydney Brower. Even though the time jump is only moving forward by one year, soap operas are famous for the kids having rapid growth spurts.

Many children on daytime TV go through what is called SORAS. It stands for Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome. We have seen it before on the long-running NBC series. Remember when Lauren Boles played sweet but spunky Ciara Brady, who was then in elementary school? One day, she suddenly went from a little kid to a teenager (Vivian Jovanni).

Recently, it was announced on Instagram that Sydnee and Harper Udell would be leaving their television family. They nearly made a record by portraying Ari Horton for six years. That is longer than most child actors on the NBC soap opera. Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest it was simply time for Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Camila Banus) daughter to grow up a little bit. Especially with the time jump, which we are seeing on our TV screens.

DOOL spoilers indicate that one Salem child who was once sweet could go through some serious growing pains. Our best guess is that the transformation happens to Ari. After all, look at everything she has gone through in her young life.

Now, her father is in prison and her mom has spent her time dabbling in organ blackmail, pacemaker tampering and vicious vendettas. If any Salem youngster was going to end up a troubled tween, we would place our bets on Ari.
