Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Belle & Shawn Question If Jan Was Out Of Her Coma When Charlie Was Killed

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Jan Spears Was Smug In Her Conversations With Nicole Brady

Days of Our Lives viewers will recall from a recent episode of Days of Our Lives how smug Jan was in her conversations with Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) at a table in Horton Town Square. The two were catching up and talking when Jan brought up the headline about Belle being accused of killing Charlie, who had raped Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and terrorized Claire Brady (Isabel Durant). Jan went on about Belle having the perfect motive to kill Charlie, considering he had raped her niece and terrorized her daughter, and had known about Claire being trapped by Charlie and Belle bursting into their home just in time to save her.

Days of Our Lives viewers will recall Jan kept referring to Claire as “her Claire” and Nicole didn’t really understand – she accused Jan of still being delusional and obsessed with Shawn! Nicole also didn’t understand why Jan wasn’t in jail after she came to. Jan talked about the deal she made with Belle that if the charges were dropped against her, she wouldn’t press charges against Belle’s father, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) for strangling her, which is what put her into a coma! If Nicole’s thinking cap had been on straight, she would have realized that Jan shouldn’t have known about Belle bursting in to save Claire; that happened in February 2021 and John strangled Jan, putting her into a coma, in November 2020!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – John Black Saw Who He Thought Was Belle Brady In Her Red Coat Shooting Charlie Dale

Days of Our Lives viewers will recall that when John was hypnotized by Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) he remembered that he went to Charlie’s building the night that Charlie was murdered. He had only remembered hearing a gunshot and that he had gone out that night absolutely livid at Charlie! Belle had been arrested for the murder after a red button had been found in the evidence and District Attorney Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) was impatient to make an arrest. Belle happened to be wearing her red coat, which happened to be missing a button.

Days of Our Lives viewers will also recall that Jan made a point of telling Belle she was missing a button when they were making their deal and signing off on the paperwork! When John told Belle he saw her shoot Charlie, it all coming back under hypnosis, she was dumbfounded – she had never been to Charlie Dale’s apartment, let alone that night! She questioned her father if he had seen her face and he admitted he had not – only someone wearing a coat like hers with the hood up. However, she was sure the button was from her coat. The question is, now that Belle realizes that she was set up, who could have and who would have done so?

DOOL Spoilers – Who Would Want Belle Brady Put In Prison More Than Jan Spears?

Days of Our Lives viewers will recall how obsessed Jan has been with Shawn for quite some time – she had kidnapped Belle and locked her up before putting on her wedding dress and showing up at Belle and Shawn’s wedding in November 2021! That was what made John mad enough to strangle or try to strangle Jan, which put her into a coma supposedly for months. Jan was the one who pointed out that Belle’s button was missing. Shawn and Belle, along with Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) who is representing Belle in the murder case discuss the timeline and they agree if Jan would have been awake to do so the night Charlie was killed, she would have had motive and possible means to kill Charlie in order to frame Belle. Opportunity, however, is a big question!

Justin could stall by demanding that testing be done between the remaining buttons on Belle’s coat and the one found in Charlie’s apartment to make sure that they really are a match, but Shawn reminds him button factories probably make many buttons for garments made during any given time period. It’s not like trying to match tires to tire tracks and certainly not as foolproof as fingerprints or DNA! They have to find out if Jan may have been faking her coma – and Nicole Brady may be the one who holds the key. She needs to talk to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) about what Jan told her about knowing about Belle saving Claire from Charlie the night they struggled over Claire trying to trap him with her phone!
