Once Chad announces that he found proof that EJ paid the guard that held Sami hostage, the reunion is over. Sami reels over the “discovery” and tells EJ goodbye. Sami promises that this time, it really is the end of their marriage and walks out. Lucas gets what he wants and comforts Sami as she reels over the betrayal.

Sami decides that she will go ahead and give Lucas another chance. Lucas is shocked and thrilled when Sami suggests they leave Salem together. Sami wants to rebuild their relationship while Lucas wants to prevent her from ever finding out the truth. So, they plan on going to Europe.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that nobody will listen to EJ telling everyone he’s been framed. EJ suspects that Lucas is behind this and he’s right, but he can’t seem to prove it. EJ’s situation gets even worse when he goes to trial. Even though Belle agrees to represent him, it’s going to be an uphill battle. Belle likely warns EJ that there is evidence pointing him as Sami’s kidnapper.

Meanwhile, Sami views Belle defending EJ in court as a betrayal. Sami stood up for her sister during Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) exorcism. Sami told the devil that nobody talks to Belle like that. So, Sami will feel an extra layer of betrayal when Belle takes EJ’s side over hers.

Head writer Ron Carlivati teased to Soap Opera Digest that there is a lot of drama during EJ’s trial. It is speculated that the truth about Sami’s kidnapping could come out in court. Belle managing to prove that Lucas is guilty and framed EJ will send the courtroom in an uproar.

Despite the war between EJ and Chad, guilt could get the best of the DiMera Enterprises CEO. It’s possible that Chad finally confesses the truth, which could free EJ and heal the brothers’ relationship at the same time. However, what does this mean for Lucas? Will he end up going to prison, and how will this affect EJ and Sami’s marriage?
