When it is stated that she says goodbye to Victor, it is assumed that she is going to prison. However, there is speculation that she might end up finding out that she isn’t truly responsible for Adrienne Kiriakis’ (Judi Evans) death.

Earlier this year, head writer Ron Carlivati told Soap Opera Digest that just when fans think they know the whole story, a few more surprises will be thrown in their direction. He was referring to Adrienne’s death and the crash that took her life.

There is a popular fan theory that Maggie was drugged by Summer Townsend (Marie Wilson) and she is the one that really caused the crash. How exactly everything happened and how Maggie is cleared remains a mystery, though. We will have to wait and see if this theory proves to be accurate.
