Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Ben Weston’s Back, Show Scales Back On Alex Kiriakis’s Storyline?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for the week of March 20th state that Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) and Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) will make a splashing return to the land of Salem. Seems rather timely since Ciara’s parents Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) made their comebacks recently, too. With that said, as Ben is in the picture now, does this mean the soap will scale down on Alex Kiriakis’s (Robert Scott Wilson) storyline?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Robert Scott Wilson Will Be Pulling Double-Duty The Week Of March 20th

Days spoilers suggest that both Ben and Alex will be seen the week of March 20th. Ben returns to the little town on Friday, March 24th with Ciara and little Beauregard Weston (Cody and Warren Kransnow) in tow, as the family shares some exciting news. Meanwhile, Alex is set to have a heated confrontation with Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) sometime mid-week.

While actor Robert Scott Wilson will be pulling double duty in the days ahead (see what happened there), just how long will he be able to do so, and could Alex fade into the background as Cin drama takes center stage?

Days Spoilers – Fans Love Alex, But Cin Is In A League Of Their Own

While it took a little time, most viewers have come to terms with Wilson playing Alex and the character is quite popular. How can he not be? He’s charming, flirty, and handsome. Plus, who can ignore those abs? In all seriousness, Alex brings a unique flare to the little town. His threesome storyline with Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) was something Days viewers (or even soap opera audiences in general) had never seen before, and he really is a playboy with a heart of gold. Whether fans are #TeamAlex or #TeamChad, it’s undeniable that he truly did have feelings and was falling for Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein).

With that said, Cin is soap opera super couple royalty. As Ciara and Ben have been off the canvas for a long while, and they’ll likely get wrapped up in Bo and Hope’s storyline, there’s a good chance that Ben takes center stage, while Alex’s storyline gets put on the back burner. He’ll likely still be a part of the show’s drama, he just may not be shown as often.

Then again, there are plenty of actors who have portrayed two (or more) characters in Salem over the years, with major storylines. Often, it’s actors who play twins, but a fine example is also DOOL actress Eileen Davidson, who has portrayed Kristen DiMera, Susan Banks, Sister Mary Moira, and Thomas Banks; juggling multiple roles and personalities. Perhaps, this will be the case for Mr. Wilson, as he does his best to bring Ben back to Salem, while also telling Alex’s story, too.

[…] Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) may be the ultimate reason that her relationship with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) ended, but that doesn’t mean that Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) won’t use him in any way that she can. Right now, she is out to get Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) and asks Alex to help her do so. […]

  5. […] Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) is stunned that he was just fired from Titan. He never expected this, especially with Titan being a family company, but Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) means business and is not playing around. Alex earned this firing in Maggie’s opinion and she has no intention of giving him his job back. […]
