Brandon dished about his return in an interview with Soap Opera Digest and spilled a few deets about what fans can expect from the plot going forward. It sounds like TPTB have gone above and beyond to create a scintillating situation in which Jake and Gabi must confront the past and the future!

Days of our Lives spoilers – Brandon Barash is back on DOOL in a new role

According to Brandon, “I had no idea I’d be returning.” But he received a surprise call in which he was told a lot of people were upset to see the him and his character go and would he be interested in returning?

Brandon was on board with the idea and he says that he loves his new character who is the opposite of suave Stefan. He also says that this role is not a leading man character which suits him just fine.

“Those roles are more fun for me to play … it’s what I prefer. I’ve always preferred that” he says.

As Stefan, Brandon had a hot and heavy romance going with Gabi Hernandez. This time around the two are set to interact and anything could happen. Their initial meetup, “Knocks her off her feet,” says Bandon.

Gabi thinks that she is seeing her dead husband and tries to tell Jake who he is. For his part, Jake’s reaction is, “Who the hell are you,” and thinks the beautiful kook is psycho. Well, in all fairness, she kind of is!

So, what happens after their initial meeting? Brandon says that Gabi is very persistent, “so you can imagine where that goes.” There is tension between them since both are passionate people and we can only guess the rest!
