Brandon Butler Returns To Days Of Our Lives In New Role

Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that the Peacock soap is adding another cast member. While Brandon Butler was on the daytime drama in 2025, he’s returning in September to play a new character, and CTS has all the details below.

The 411 On Brandon Butler’s New Role

Days of Our Lives spoilers remind fans that Butler had a brief run on the soap in 2025 playing the late Zack Brady, Bo Brady’s (Peter Reckell) and Hope Brady’s (Kristian Alfonso) son.

This time around, he’ll debut as a new character, Mason Whitfield, and is slated to first appear on the Tuesday, September 1 episode.

Days posted a video of Butler on their social media pages, where he introduced himself and offered up five fun facts about himself.

Butler was born and raised in Frankfort, Illinois, and grew up loving basketball and baseball. While he loved playing competitive sports, he also loved acting.

Butler notes in the social media video that, “Growing up, you would find me either auditioning in the theater or on the field.” He even talked about a poster campaign he was in for a successful fast-food chain’s meal toy.

Still, he got personal in the video when he stated that Days of Our Lives was his late mother’s favorite soap. Butler added, “So this one’s for you, Mom. Love you.”

Not only was Butler on Days of Our Lives as Zack in 2025, but he was also on Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why as Scott Reed and Trinkets, playing Brady Finch.

He began acting at 13, debuting in the 2011 musical comedy Sister Mary, where he played a choir boy. In addition, he had appearances on General Hospital, playing a ‘frat guy’, SEAL Team, and Hysteria!

Butler enters the canvas as a slew of others are joining the cast, with Days recently announcing the additions of Brytni Sarpy, set to debut in 2027, and Sydney Malakeh, both in unknown roles.
