Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease Camila Banus, who plays Gabi Hernandez recently announced she has left the show. However, since DOOL tapes so far ahead we’ll see her for a while-but how will Gabi exit?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Brandon Barash Has No Plans To Leave

It’s doubtful that the role of Gabi would be recast, although that is always possible due to important storylines that must play out. There was a previous absence from the show a couple of years ago where she moved to Phoenix to be with her daughter Arianna Horton (Lane Rosa) but later returned. But, Brandon Barash, who plays Stefan DiMera has not announced any plans to leave, and currently he and Gabi are making wedding plans.

Stefan and Gabi are the loves of each other’s lives, so it doesn’t seem she’d be written out by leaving town and leaving him behind. And then one has to consider will the exit be long term, with another actress taking over in a few months, or permanent, leaving Stefan possibly to grieve as a widower?

DOOL Spoilers – Some Possibilities

There are some possibilities based on current storylines that could be interesting ways for Gabi to leave, likely permanently or at least for several months. One thing they could do is not kill her, but like Ben and Ciara Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson, Victoria Konefal) story, have her kidnapped and presumed dead several months.

That would allow for an exciting story with Stefan searching for his love and eventually finding and rescuing her-but with a different face. True, that was also done with Chad and Abigail DiMera (Billy Flynn, Marci Miller) but there’s not but so many ways one half of a couple can disappear and return later. There could also be some interesting table-turning from people Gabi’s tangled with before and done wrong, one person who she has a fraught relationship with becoming fraught yet again!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – A Couple Of Table Turning Possibilities

When Stefan died, he jumped in front of his mother, Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) and took a bullet-what if Stefan’s a target and Gabi jumps in front of him and dies? That would be dramatic and full of Romeo and Juliet like situations, the star crossed couple who could never be happy and now the wife has died. Back to that person with whom Gabi’s had a fraught relationship, Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) and Gabi’s animosity will soon come out again.

Viewers may remember when Gabi and Julie struggled over Charlotte DiMera’s (Autumn Gendron) paternity test and Julie went down the stairs, or when Gabi controlled her pacemaker. What if this time they struggle and Gabi has a fatal fall and Julie stands trial for her murder-almost anything could happen!
