During a recent episode of Chad & Abby in Paris, Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) spoke about talking to Stefano. However, Chad said that as far as he was concerned, his father was dead and hadn’t spoken to him since his disappearance.

So, who initiated contact? What did the father and son discuss? What does this mean for the future of DiMera Enterprises? How will Abigail respond to Chad keeping this huge secret from her? Fans will have to keep watching the NBC soap opera to find out how this storyline plays out.

      They could have Stefano still be alive and simply not show him on screen, thus no need for a recast. The characters would simply refer to him as being in hiding, etc. Stefano could still have an impact on storylines, though, as Chad, Tony, Kristen, and Dr Rolf could act as his agents, as well as Jonny DiMer, who I read is returning.
