Wanting Sami for himself and not wanting suspicion falling on him for the kidnapping, Lucas framed EJ. However, Chad walked in as Lucas was planting evidence that would implicate EJ. Lucas had to think fast and tried to get Chad to keep quiet. Chad ended up agreeing so he could once again be the sole CEO of DiMera Enterprises.

During the week of January 10, Chad’s guilt will begin to get to him. Despite the problems between Chad and EJ, the CEO knows it’s wrong to help send an innocent man to prison.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that EJ will go to trial for kidnapping Sami. Belle Brady (Martha Madison) will defend EJ in court. One of the people called to testify is Lucas. However, Belle could end up noticing some discrepancies between Lucas’ original statement to the police and what he is now claiming on the stand. That’s not all that will happen during EJ’s trial, though.

Chad will begin to feel so guilty that he doesn’t know if he can continue to be silent. Chad admits to Kate that he wants to testify and tell the truth about Lucas. Chad will explain that it’s not right to send an innocent man to prison. However, Kate will try to encourage Chad to continue with the plan. After all, Kate will do anything for her children and doesn’t want Lucas going to prison.

It is teased that EJ ends up being cleared. However, what happens to Lucas? Knowing Kate, she will find a way for him to avoid prison… even if that means breaking the law herself.
