We suspect that Charlie may have a super protective – or perhaps an overprotective – streak that will soon be provoked. According to Days of Our Lives spoilers, Charlie (Mike C. Manning) will learn about Claire’s friendship with Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) in the days to come, and he’ll find himself a bit uncomfortable with it. Of course, it would be natural for anyone to be skeptical at first about Claire’s friendship with the Necktie Killer, even though Ben’s reformed.

But could it be more than that for Charlie? It’s been speculated by some fans that there could be much more to Charlie than meets the eye, and DOOL buzz is that Charlie could actually be the man who raped Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) in London last year. Of course, whether that’s the case remains to be seen, but if Charlie is the rapist, then it would mean that he has serious control issues under the surface when it comes to women.

Who knows – Charlie’s concern about Claire’s (Isabel Durant) friendship and closeness with Ben could end up being less about the fact that Ben’s the Necktie Killer and more about the fact that Claire really seems to care about Ben. Now, it’s true that Charlie didn’t blow up or have any sort of big outburst when Claire kissed Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson), but he was pretty upset by it. And besides, Charlie could end up being the kind of guy who’s more controlling and opportunistic rather than overtly angry all the time.

If Charlie thinks that Claire’s overly close with Ben on an emotional level, he might get upset and have a slow burn type of reaction to it. Charlie could discourage Claire from seeing or spending time with Ben, as he might feel threatened by Claire’s friendship with Ben. Of course, Days of Our Lives viewers know that Ben and Ciara are simply friends, but they do share a deep connection because of Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal), and Charlie might not like that.

It will be interesting to see how things unfold between Charlie and Claire.
