Craig has been accused of trying to frame his ex-fiancé Leo Stark (Greg Rikkart) for the murder of Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) and the stabbing of Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker). There may be some validity to Leo’s accusations; considering Sonny remembered smelling vanilla and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) smelled vanilla on Craig in Horton Town Square. When Craig left Salem after their wedding fell apart, it wasn’t sure if he could even get his job back in New York, so he may have lost everything.

There’s also the possibility that everything Craig may have lost included his mind. Something has changed about the man; he seems almost evil now that he’s back.

Chloe fears for her mother’s safety with an ex-con like Clyde; but she never believed his son had changed for the good either. Chloe has seen too many people claim to be reformed and then turn back to evil ways, so she doesn’t trust Clyde as far as she could throw him. Even Nancy seems to be not quite sure about Clyde even though she accepted his proposal; just before he proposed she accused him of doing something immoral or illegal. Nancy doesn’t want any secrets, even when the secret was a surprise marriage proposal and engagement ring. So how can Chloe trust him when she sees that her mother isn’t even sure and still wavers, even while wearing his ring?

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chloe begs Craig to intervene to stop the wedding and break up the relationship, but that might be easier said than done. Nancy is bent on going through with the marriage even though she’s easily suspicious at anything even just a little bit off. Chloe knows that Clyde’s first wife died in a car accident but she’s pretty suspicious he caused it, and everyone knows how he abused his stepdaughter and son growing up.

Craig’s already convinced the couple to have a meal out on him, it would be pretty simple to arrange for Clyde to have something a little extra in his meal. Something that would make him very sick and that he wouldn’t survive – a heart stopper, one could say.
