It sounds like a great plan, especially since there won’t be school during the Christmas break. However, things could get complicated.
Why is this important to Stephanie’s storyline? Well, in soaps, things are rarely mentioned for nothing. It could play into Stephanie’s stalker storyline.

Fans recently watched as Stephanie ordered take-out for her and Alex. It wasn’t Stephanie’s drink that was drugged, but Alex’s. While Alex was fine the next day, it could have been a lot worse.
Then, we have Alex reading Stephanie’s fan mail and flipping out. Alex is so concerned that he turned to Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) to check it out.

It is a mysterious man wearing black gloves and a leather jacket. Jeremy Horton (Michael Roark) has a similar jacket, but I don’t think it’s him.
So, it seems that Alex was just targeted to get him out of the way. It seems that the stalker might do the same with anyone who gets in his way, including an innocent college student.
Holly Jonas’ Christmas Kidnapping
With everyone already hearing about Holly going to Paris, could there be a kidnapping? Maybe Holly never makes it onto the plane, or never gets off at the Paris airport. With everyone thinking she’s in Paris, nobody would realize she was missing for a while.
Considering Holly’s history of taking off and changing her mind, Nicole and Eric might assume she just wanted to spend the holidays in Salem. So, Holly’s disappearance could go unnoticed for a while.
By the time anyone realizes Holly is missing, Stephanie could already be in danger. Just who is this man targeting Stephanie, and could he hurt Holly to get to the public relations princess?
