Some thought there was no point in bringing Konefal back if “Cin” was going to be ripped apart again. Wilson made it clear that there is a specific reason for Ciara forgetting Ben. He didn’t explain it, but we might have figured it out! He did say it’s important and if we are on the right track, then he is absolutely correct.

The actor said that the amnesia story isn’t about Ben and it’s not even really about “Cin.” He stated that the story is all about Ciara. When Ciara “died,” some fans thought Ben would have another mental health breakdown. Some assumed he would kill again. Others thought he would die from a broken heart. However, none of these things have happened.

Wilson said that Ben already knows he can survive without Ciara because he’s been doing it for a year. Not only can he survive, but he can actually live and enjoy the human experience. He had his low points, which is understandable. After all, he is a human being, not a robot.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that head writer Ron Carlvati said they’re answering, “what would Ciara’s life be like if Ben never existed?” Well, in Ciara’s amnesia-stricken mind, he doesn’t exist. We think that the point is to prove that Ciara didn’t save Ben,. which is a common misconception. He had already stopped killing, so there was nothing in him that needed saving.

Ciara on the other hand was one messed up girl. In fact, she had a lot more issues than Ben! She needed to be saved so she could be transformed, At the time when “Cin” met, she was seriously self-destructive. Ben’s unwavering love saved Ciara.

DOOL Spoilers: Addressing Misconceptions

Since “Cin” began, his serial killer past has been brought up repeatedly. He wasn’t a true serial killer, just a regular guy who had a psychotic break, which is actually pretty common. In the US, 3.8 million adults take antipsychotics. Makes you a bit nervous, doesn’t it?! It’s even more interesting how many people in the US have killed another human being.

Plus, he only technically murdered two people since Will Horton (Chandler Massey) was given the resurrection injection. So, by the legal definition, he isn’t a serial killer… just a regular, everyday killer! Some characters have killed over 20 people. Yet, nobody demands they be banned from love stories.

“Cin” proves change is possible, even with a crappy hand and bad luck. In the past, “forever” was always given to the same perfect characters. Ben and Ciara symbolize two imperfect people who apart, are broken. But put them together and they become whole. It’s a beautiful message for a world full of broken people.. even if that hope comes from a fictional soap story.
