Charlie didn’t want to lose her, so of course, he lied and told her it’s all a big misunderstanding. He lied about being Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) son, he lied about not raping Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), and even lied about how a tied-up woman ended up in his apartment. These days, DNA can reveal a lot and Charlie must know that the truth is going to come out.

If he won’t admit to anything, they might not be able to hold him right now. Even if the DNA proves he lied about being related to Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams), he could claim that the sex with Allie was consensual. It will mean that the prosecution, detectives, and Allie will have to work hard to prove Charlie is guilty.
