Days Of Our Lives: TR Coates (William Christian)Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that TR Coates (William Christian) will find out that Lani Grant (Sal Stowers) is his daughter with Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) thanks to a slip by Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) and he’ll make an impassioned plea to let him be daddy to her in an upcoming episode of Days of Our Lives!

Days of Our Lives viewers will remember that Paulina has two different baby daddies, Chanel’s being her late husband George and Lani’s being Coates, who would have been known to her by “Ray”. Days of Our Lives viewers will recall that even though the years old family secret is out in the open, when Paulina, Lani and the twins encountered him in Horton Town Square, Paulina was quick to call Lani her “niece”!

Later she talked to Lani and although she didn’t tell her Coates was her birth father she warned her to stay far away from him and have nothing to do with him whatsoever! Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) was out of town and would not be able to protect Lani and the babies if it came down to it, although Lani, as a cop also would know how to handle the situation on her own! Coates encounters Chanel and asks about her cousin, not knowing who he is other than Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) movie distributor and corrects the lie, telling him Lani’s her sister not her cousin!

DOOL Spoilers – TR Coates May Have Changed Over The Years But Paulina Price Is Too Afraid To Give Him A Chance To Prove It

Days of Our Lives viewers will remember that when Paulina first spoke of “Ray” she described him as controlling and abusive; that is why when a teenage Paulina found herself pregnant she gave baby Lani to her sister to raise – out of fear! Days of Our Lives viewers will recall from a recent episode how he apologized to Paulina and asked her to forgive him, but she wasn’t having any of it, figuring it was just another con!

Realizing that not only does he have a grown daughter but two grandchildren blindsides and somewhat angers Coates, but he can kind of understand why he would be left out of the equation! Coates makes it a point to seek out Lani and tell his side of the story, hoping to get to know his daughter and grandchildren; he wants to have a place in their lives. Perhaps it is a bit much for him to do some detective work of his own to find her address, obviously not realizing that she is a detective with the Salem Police Department – she could have him arrested if she had to!

Days of Our Lives viewers can imagine that Lani will be anything but welcoming to the stranger at her door, especially when he tells her he’s her birth father! Lani had just had a sweet meeting with Abe Carver, (James Reynolds) saying biology was overrated and he’ll always be daddy to her, with a big hug-and now here is the man Paulina warned her about wanting to be daddy!

Days of Our Lives viewers will see TR try to explain that since he knows she is Paulina’s daughter he must be her father, she’ll tell him off and tell him to leave, not wanting anything to do with him whatsoever! It’s hurtful to the older man, but it’s also understandable since he was not the man he is now when he was younger. Paulina saves the day by showing up and kicking him out but he tells Lani he wants to be a part of her life and make up for the lost years, and promises he’ll be a real father to his daughter!
