Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Could Newbie Sofia Mattsson Be Playing – Abigail??

Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates reveal former General Hospital star Sofia Mattsson has made the move to DOOL, and has already started filming.

It’s been a tightly kept secret as to who she will play, a new character, or perhaps a recast one-might she be playing Abigail DiMera (most recently Marci Miller)?

Abigail Has Been Mentioned Recently In The NBC Peacock Soap

Abigail has been mentioned recently in the NBC Peacock soap, and although it may be nearly a year before Sofia airs, they could be laying the groundwork now.

In a recent episode, Chad DiMera (now Conner Floyd) questioned EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) about the stasis pod in the secret laboratory he’d heard about, wanting to know who was in it!

Days of Our Lives fans will remember that before falling into a coma, Clyde Weston (James Read) said Abigail was still alive—but didn’t give a location.

However, the grave was empty-and even though Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) was blackmailed by Clyde to impersonate Abigail, the empty grave was never accounted for.

Abigail was found dead, but in Salem, that doesn’t necessarily mean dead forever-like Lexi Carver, (Nikki Crawford) for instance!

Others In Stasis Pods Were Also Mentioned Recently, Thought Dead But Actually Alive

Also mentioned recently on the Peacock soap was Kate Brady (Lauren Koslow) being dead, and then alive, she was with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans).

Megan Hathaway (Miranda Wilson) along with Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) were responsible for that-and Megan’s name came up in EJ and Chad’s conversation too.

Kate, Marlena, and Kayla were victims of a deadly disease thanks to Orpheus (George DelHoyo) and Megan stole the cure, made from a rare orchid, and kept in stasis pods like Lexi now.

It seems with Abigail’s name being brought up now along with Megan’s, and Kate’s, Abigail indeed may be alive in a stasis pod somewhere-and possibly Megan has her, like Chad suggested.

Sofia Mattsson Could Make A Good Abigail

On General Hospital, Sofia’s character went through many times of danger, went through some mental breakdowns and many times rescued as well.

Ironically, one of the other actresses who played Abigail on DOOL is now playing a character on GH, and that’s Kate Mansi.

Sofia’s definitely got what it takes to make a good Abigail, if that indeed is the character she’ll be playing, not to mention she’ll look great with Conner Floyd.

We won’t see Sofia on the screen for at least ten or eleven months, with the tape to air dates being so far ahead. But with all the hints being dropped about Abigail being alive, it’s certainly possible that Sofia Mattsson will portray her.
