Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that after the mysterious time jump that is about to move all stories one year into the future, that several characters will be in radically different situations than they are currently. One such character is JJ Devereaux, who it seems will be back to using drugs. Viewers will recall that JJ has a history of drug use, but he has been clean for quite a few years now. So what could possibly cause him to return to drugs? Let’s take a look at some of the most likely scenarios.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Jordan Ridgeway attacked JJ Devereaux

Recently, Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Straus) attacked JJ, leaving him unconscious with a head injury. It’s seems quite likely that JJ may have some residual pain from the attack and it becomes so unbearable that he becomes desperate to find a way to ease his suffering. Other spoilers indicate that JJ’s mother, Jennifer Horton (Missy Reeves) may be in a coma during this time, so a very large part of JJ’s support system won’t be available to him. JJ is currently involved with Haley Chen (Thia Megia), but JJ may hide his drug use from her, at least at first.

DOOL Spoilers – JJ Devereaux won’t be able to hide his secret for long

Try as he might, it won’t be long before the drugs impact other areas of his life. JJ works as a paramedic, and a clear head is necessary in the life and death decisions that JJ has to make every day on the job. If he is high while at work, he could inadvertently harm someone, and possibly even cause someone’s death. Personality changes will also become more and more noticeable, possibly alienating everyone JJ cares about.
