Days of our Lives Spoilers – The truth about Maggie Horton’s role in the crash that killed Adrienne  Kiriakis was a long time in coming

Fans of the NBC sudser knew that something was amiss in the story involving the night Adrienne (Judi Evans) tragically died. That fateful event took place more or less a year ago, but fans were treated to a time-bending trick in which the show advanced a year, with many pivotal events taking place off-camera.

Adrienne’s death and the circumstances surrounding her demise were one of the blockbuster plots that occurred without fans seeing al of the particulars.

What we knew eventually was that Will (Chandler Massey) was in prison as the person responsible for crashing into Adrienne’s car, resulting in her death.

DOOL Spoilers – The truth is sometimes stranger than fiction

What we didn’t learn for some time after that revelation was that Will was, in fact, innocent and that Maggie was the person responsible. At least that is the story told by Xander (Paul Telfer) and Victor (John Aniston), who framed Will to take the fall for Maggie.

Both men were concerned about how she would react to the terrible news, and certainly did not want to see her spend the rest of her life in jail. Conveniently, Maggie had blacked out the entire time frame surrounding the death–until now.

But Xander and Victor were not the only ones privy to this amazing news, Will himself has known that he is innocent for weeks. Like Maggie’s loved ones, Will has decided that it is better for him to stay in jail for the crime than to send poor Maggie to jail. Except that the whole matter may now be out of their hands!

In a twist of fate, Maggie apparently has remembered splinters if not all of that fateful night. And she isn’t keeping quiet about it.

Maggie has let her secret out of the bag, spilling that she knows Will didn’t kill Adrienne. What comes next for Maggie, could her sobriety be at stake once again?
