Longtime viewers of the show will remember how Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) first appeared as a con man, going by Brent Douglas, which was his real name.

He had been the cellmate of Bill Horton (then Edward Mallory) while he was imprisoned for his part in the death of Kitty Horton (Regina Gleason).

It wasn’t actually murder, she died of a heart attack while in a physical struggle with Bill, who was Jennifer Horton’s (Melissa Reeves) father.

Doug the third often finds himself in trouble, and wherever he goes, disorder follows-he doesn’t mean to be troublesome or wants to hurt anyone; it’s just part of his upbringing.

His actions tend to create a whirlwind of negative consequences- although he is kind and calm, he struggles to make the right decisions at crucial moments.

Viewers will remember when Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo) first brought Joy to town, and warned her about misbehavior. The first thing Joy did was get drunk with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and they slept together, bringing on some very awkward complications.

Now, on top of everything else, she has to hope that her confidant Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) won’t betray the secret-after Johnny mistook Chanel sleeping with him on set.
