DOOL spoilers reveal that Ava was unprepared for Jake DiMera’s (formerly played by Brandon Barash) death. Even though Ava was able to say goodbye post-mortem, she is still grieving. Ava is vulnerable, which is part of the reason she agreed to Gabi Hernandez’s (Camila Banus) deal.

Sure, Gabi brought up good selling points and Ava was suspicious. However, Ava also isn’t as sharp as she usually is due to grief.

DOOL Spoilers – Johnny DiMera’s Heart

Now Ava is living at the DiMera mansion. EJ is suspicious and has tried to use certain discoveries against Ava. However, Ava doesn’t intimidate easily and isn’t going to scamper away after a few threats.

Meanwhile, Johnny has grown fond of Ava. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Boatman explained that Johnny cares about her. So, Johnny goes to check on Ava and finds her at Jake’s crypt. That is when Ava opens up about hallucinating Jake, who was really a resurrected Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash).

Johnny consoles Ava and she admits that EJ was kind to her after the hallucination. This catches Johnny off guard but he is thankful. Johnny makes sure to thank EJ, unaware that it is all a scam.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – EJ DiMera’s Devious Deed

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Johnny and Ava don’t find out about EJ’s scheme until the shareholder’s meeting. EJ doesn’t just use Ava’s confessions against her. EJ also takes what Johnny said about Ava to get her disqualified, claiming she’s mentally unstable.

“It turns out EJ’s been playing the nice guy in order to manipulate Ava into making admissions, and even get Johnny to make admissions about Ava’s mental state. He was just using them all along. It hurts Johnny on multiple levels. It’s like, ‘You lied to me and you hurt somebody that I care about. And, on the other hand, you broke a sacred trust between father and son, which hurts on a different level.”

Ava tries to do damage control by denying she hallucinated Jake. Johnny, Gabi and Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) all back Ava up, which doesn’t make EJ happy. It is teased that what EJ does next breaks Johnny’s confidence. Even though Johnny is hurt, he knows how to hurt his father right back.
