Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) could take a turn for the sinister after losing Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker). With Arianne gone, Nicole is bound to be written out, and the DiMeras need a new Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) type character-EJ makes the most sense to take a sinister turn!

EJ is one of the few DiMeras left who actually knew Stefano when he was alive-other than him, only three older siblings knew him personally.

Tony DiMera, (Thaao Penghlis) Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and Megan DiMera (Miranda Wilson) are those siblings.

Everyone younger than EJ who are alive never met him, and found out he was their birth father when they were adults.

There has been a void in Salem that only a Stefano could fill-and EJ is the best hope of being a new Stefano.

Stefan O. DiMera (Brandon Barash) can have a sinister side but only under duress, and even under duress but he’s no Stefano, or he’d have ended Clyde Weston (James Read) himself!

DOOL Spoilers – Kristen DiMera Can’t Be The Phoenix

Kristen may have had a Phoenix tattoo but she can’t be The Phoenix, even her most evil plots don’t measure up to Stefano’s.

Megan could have come close, but she’s too busy running from the law to take over now-and besides, none of her siblings have any respect for her.

As for Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) he’s the one who burned Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) brain chip containing Stefano’s “essence” so he wouldn’t do at all.

EJ, with his fiery temper and thirst for vengeance, is the most like his father and therefore the best one to pick up the patriarchal DiMera torch. Plus, EJ tends to be extremely controlling.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – EJ DiMera’s Days Of Happiness Are Numbered

There has been no word on a recast for the Nicole character once Arianne Zucker’s last airdate passes-there may be three or four more months because of the taping schedule.

It’s possible the character could even be killed off-leaving EJ an angry man out for revenge and dealing with a stepdaughter who doesn’t understand, and a baby who isn’t his.

EJ could easily become bitter and more Stefano-like especially when the truth comes out about Jude Brady (uncast) being Nicole’s child with Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).

EJ doesn’t have his mother Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) close by either, or she’d be talking some sense into him. The last thing Susan would want for Elvis John DiMera is for him to turn into Stefano Jr.!
