EJ has been fighting hard to contain all his Coriseal secrets, but now they’ve landed in Devlin St. John’s (John Oliver) hands.
As the head of DiMera Pharmaceuticals, George O’Halloran (Michael Ross) was a huge part of the tainted Coriseal batch cover-up. Since George is an old college friend of Devlin’s, they had a golf outing recently that led to trouble.
George got drunk and spilled way too much to Devlin, who by his own admission now knows where all the bodies are buried. Devlin could blow up EJ’s scandal unless the wealthy DiMera meets all his demands.
Whether Devlin wants money, power or something more, he’ll expect EJ to come through on whatever he wants.
Days spoilers say EJ will fume over the blackmail threat and eventually determine that something drastic has to be done.
DOOL viewers can expect EJ to rely on Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney) for the scheme he’s cooking up. Since Devlin is obviously attracted to Rita and has a weakness for flattery, she may help EJ set a trap for him.

Of course, it’s possible EJ will plot to kill Devlin, but it makes more sense to send him to the DiMera private island instead.
Days fans will recall that island got a lot of hype when EJ planned to ship Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) there.
Kristen conspired to send Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford) in her place, but that plan didn’t work out either.
Everything’s all set up and waiting for a new island dweller, so could EJ decide to ship Devlin off and make sure the threat’s silenced?
The Last Week Tonight with John Oliver host was clear about wanting to play as many soapy situations as possible during his guest stint on Days (and his previous one on General Hospital).

We’d say Oliver would absolutely love for Devlin to exit by getting stuck on a rich, dangerous family’s island with no way home!
