DOOL spoilers reveal that before Eli and Lani got married, they promised each other no more secrets. Their relationship ended once before because of hidden truths. Even though it was to save Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), Eli didn’t want secrets and lies threaten their relationship in the future.

During the week of October 19, Eli will really struggle over a secret he’s keeping from Lani. It has to do with the truth about Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) confession. Due to him pressuring Kristen to come clean, she ends up going to the police station and admitting she stabbed Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). It is devastating for Lani and she can’t understand why Kristen would suddenly do a complete 180.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Eli knows that secrets can end up destroying a marriage. He also realizes that Lani is going to be furious with him if she finds out what he’s done. He will be conflicted over what to do. All he wanted was to protect Lani, but he couldn’t do that unless Kristen confessed. If she hadn’t, then he probably would have handed the secret confession tape over to DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang).

It is teased that Eli will confide in Abe Carver (James Reynolds). While the mayor will understand Eli’s inner turmoil, he is a big believer in honesty.

Even though it seems like Eli and Lani keep facing obstacles in their marriage, there is hope for them. Abe already convinced his daughter to go home and have an honest discussion with Eli.
