Once Jada is introduced, she works closely with Commissioner Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and interrogates another murder suspect. As for the character’s personality, what can fans expect? The actress teased Jada is a “black stallion.”

Why a New Detective?

DOOL spoilers reveal that when Jada was confirmed to be a new detective, some fans on social media asked why another character was necessary. For one, the police force is dwindling and since there is always crime in Salem, there has to be more than just Rafe and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) on the front burner.

Jada’s arrival comes right on the heels of Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) going to prison and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) moving away. Plus, the soap needs new characters to stop the repeated love triangles featuring the same characters.

DOOL Spoilers: Interrogating New Suspect

Right after arriving, Jada will work closely with Rafe. The big case right now is Abigail DiMera’s (formerly played by Marci Miller) murder. Clyde Weston (James Read) was interrogated, and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) will be cleared.

When Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) hypnotizes Lucas, a new suspect will emerge. It is confirmed that Jada interrogates another Salemite, which might be Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart).

Love Story Teased

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Jada will get involved in a love story. There are a few possibilities, including Rafe and Shawn. After all, working on the police force tends to have officers get close professionally as well as personally.

However, it is teased that it won’t be a detective that shows interest in Jada. There is reason to believe that it is Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest about Jada, Cantu described the detective as a “black stallion.”

“She’s a very confident woman. She’s intelligent. She’s gorgeous. She’s tough. But she also has, like all humans, layers. She has a vulnerable, soft side, but it takes time to get to that. She’s been through some things.”

The actress continued,

“And she’s in a male-dominated world, but she hangs in there. She really holds her own. She’s very independent. She’s kind of like a black stallion. As an actor, I use that animal as inspiration, because she’s on her own path. She does her own thing. She’s not afraid to be by herself. And she is very strong.”

Expect Jada to make her debut on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. What do you predict will happen with Salem’s newest detective?
