Before he finds out the romance is just a ruse, he ends up turning to a familiar face for comfort. That person is Sarah and they almost become intimate before the doctor stops Eric from making a huge mistake.
Eric will turn to Nicole and tell her about what almost happened with Sarah. However, she has a confession of her own to make.

It is teased that Nicole tells Eric that she really isn’t in a relationship with Brady again. She informs him about her plan to trick Kristen into staying away from Brady. It was because Eric couldn’t handle Nicole keeping Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton’s (the May twins) paternity a secret from him for an entire year. He didn’t hate her for it, Eric was just hurt.

It is confirmed that after Eric and Nicole finally have a real conversation, they move back in with each other. It isn’t known if Eric will propose to her again or if he decides to wait this time.
However, don’t expect things to be smooth sailing for the couple. Eventually, something else is going to pop up that will force them to fight for their relationship. After all, this is a soap opera and if couples were always happy and problem-free, then there would be no stories to tell.
