DOOL spoilers reveal that Eric ends up getting an incredible offer that will probably never happen again. Under normal circumstances, he would jump at the chance. However, there is so much going on in Eric and Nicole’s lives right now. Nicole has a little girl to think about and they just lost the custody case. But with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) coming back, she could end up making it possible for Nicole to adopt her baby. There is also the chance that Allie will think about keeping her son and Nicole will want to be around to help her. Plus, Nicole has her career at Basic Black. So, Eric considers turning down the offer.

Even though they are still very much in love and will stay married, being apart from each other is going to be difficult. But they are both confident that the power of their love will get them through this.
DOOL Spoilers – Will Long-Distance Marriage Work?
It was teased by head writer Ron Carlivati and executive producer Ken Corday what we can expect from Nicole once Eric leaves Salem. The soap bosses told Soap Opera Digest that Nicole will be extremely involved in Allie’s life.
It was stated that Nicole would remain committed and faithful to Eric. However, the statement ended with “at least, for now.” So, that suggests that Nicole might end up getting lonely at some point and it could lead her into the arms of another man. For some reason, we are thinking she ends up back in Brady Black’s (Eric Martsolf) bed! Isn’t there where she always goes when Eric isn’t there to make sure she behaves? We will have to keep watching the NBC soap opera to see how this story ends.

I wonder if they are sending him to the Congo for a while so a recast will be accepted better—I know they just popped Isabel Durand in for Olivia Rose Keegan with Claire, but I think Greg Vaughan is probably a more difficult star to just do that with. "Supernatural" just ended so I wonder if Jensen Ackles might be coming back. The two resemble each other so it might not be such a hard switch for fans to get used to.
