Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) would do almost anything to keep Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) from being a part of baby Mackenzie “Mickey” Horton’s (Josephine and Rosalind May) life – but would he go so far as to sue for sole custody of Mickey at the risk of hurting and alienating Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey)?

Eric knows firsthand how dangerous Xander can be, especially when he’s been crossed. Xander has been trouble with a capital T ever since he hit the town, and Eric doesn’t believe he has changed one little bit, regardless of what Sarah is telling him.

Now that she is actually saying she is going to marry the fiend, things are even worse – he won’t be able to stop him from having access to Mickey if the two of them are married like he could with them just both living in the Kiriakis mansion! He would be Mickey’s legal stepfather! Eric has to find a way to get Mickey away from Xander, but how can he do it without hurting Sarah and alienating her?

She was always such a good friend to him when he was taking care of little Holly Jonas (Harlow and Scarlett Mallory) and she always took such good care of Holly when her mother was presumed dead for all that time. How could she not see that Xander is evil and will do nothing but hurt her and Mickey and possibly worse?

DOOL Spoilers – Eric Brady Kidnapped Before

After all, he was the one that kidnapped Holly when Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) was staying in the DiMera mansion and Xander took advantage of her fear over El Fideo’s (Andoni Gracia) men by sneaking in through the tunnels and letting everyone think it was his men that took little Holly and crashed the car over an embankment making it appear that Holly was as dead as her mother was thought to be at the time!

Eric has to come up with a strategy to protect Mickey from Xander and consider her best interests over what Sarah’s objections might be – and the only thing he can think of is to sue her for sole custody with the danger from Xander being the basis! Mickey has to be the priority!

Eric most certainly would sue for sole custody of baby Mickey if he believed her life was in danger and Sarah just refused to see it or was brainwashed somehow by that Kiriakis Svengali! He has excellent experience in taking care of a little girl on his own, if need be, although now Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and Holly both have been revealed to be alive and are back with him.

Nicole knows all too well what Xander is capable of; she would be more than happy to give evidence that the “stepfather” is too dangerous to be around small children, let alone a baby! Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) would not have a problem with handling the custody suit because he knows all too well what Xander is and how he operates as well, although he mainly minded his own business when he and Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) lived there. He never did understand why his uncle Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) let Xander live in the mansion with his track record!
