DOOL spoilers reveal that Shawn was tricked into sleeping with Jan Spears (Heather Lindell). Due to the devil’s recent activities, Shawn tested “Belle” to make sure it was really her. “Belle” passed all the tests, so he had no reason to think it was Jan made to look like Belle. When Belle came in the door, Shawn was clearly confused. After a few minutes, Shawn realized he wasn’t in bed with his wife but will Jan.

Shawn never told Belle that something happened with Jan before they were interrupted. Shawn was too horrified and traumatized by the event. Even though Shawn didn’t outright lie to Belle, he also wasn’t honest about it. Shawn tried to pretend that it never happened, which is a trauma response.

When Jan boasted about her pregnancy to Belle, she confronted Shawn. Belle thought that this must be another scheme to break up her marriage. Belle was horrified when Shawn admitted that the baby really could be his.

Now that the paternity test confirms Shawn is the father, Belle can’t seem to get past it. Belle keeps blaming Shawn, who is a victim. Belle even left Shawn and doesn’t know if she can be with him ever again. Meanwhile, Shawn is left to deal with this traumatic situation on his own.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of April 25 reveal that Eric has a chat with Belle. The two talks about Shawn and Jan. Considering that Eric was drugged and raped by Kristen, the former priest could explain things to Belle. Eric’s past could end up helping Belle realize that she is punishing the victim.

Even though Eric might be able to explain Shawn’s trauma to Belle, don’t expect the couple to be saved quite yet. Jan puts Shawn in another difficult decision regarding their unborn child. Shawn’s decision infuriates Belle, which pushes her into the arms of EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). Will “Shelle” ever get their marriage back on track, or has Jan destroyed the couple forever?
