At the time of the proposal, Rafe assumed Nicole didn’t jump for joy because of Eric. Even though Eric and Nicole still have that connection, she claimed it was just so fast. Nicole assured Rafe that she and Eric have both moved on. Then, she accepted the proposal, but it was clear marrying Rafe wasn’t in her heart.
