Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers hint that the fireworks are about to explode in Salem, as the double wedding of the decade is about to unravel in the little town. There will be a slew of character returns for the big event; however, a major character debut is also on the horizon, too.

Xander Cook’s (Paul Telfer) mom is set to arrive in the days ahead (pun intended) and she won’t only be there to watch her son get married but set things straight: including potentially spilling the beans on a secret that finally needs to be exposed!

DOOL Spoilers: Fiona Cook’s First Airdate

According to reports, Fiona’s first airdate is Friday, July 19, and actress Serena Scott Thomas will be stepping into the role.

Scott Thomas recently spoke with TV Guide regarding her character’s debut, stating that “Fiona comes with her own flair, large and in charge, with a twinkle in her eye.”

But, moreover, Fiona “… wants to make amends with her son.”

Could the moment fans have been waiting for, for about a year now, finally come to fruition? Sounds like Theresa Donovan’s (Emily O’Brien) worst nightmare is about to come true, which explains why she worked overtime to ensure Fiona wouldn’t be invited to the wedding in the first place!

Days Spoilers: Serena Scott Thomas Comments On Cast Mates

In addition to Fiona’s mindset, Scott Thomas had some nice things to say about her fellow DOOL co-stars. She tells TV Guide, “I loved Paul from the moment I saw him. I saw him in the corridor, and he held out his arms and he went, ‘Mum!’ He was so sweet, and he took me to lunch.”

When it comes to Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton), Scott Thomas notes that she’s “just a doll”, while stating that she adores Suzanne Rogers (Maggie Kiriakis), also revealing that she’s, “… never been so happy on a set.”
