Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that during the week of October 5, we will see the first episodes that were tape after the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown. Keep reading to find out more, including what to expect when these episodes air.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Production Restarted September 1
DOOL spoilers reveal that while many soaps went back to work months ago, Days of Our Lives waited until September 1. The reason was due to them not wanting to rush things, then being forced to shut down again. However, the NBC soap opera didn’t run out of episodes during production shutdown as others did due to it’s the advanced production schedule. Now, we are coming to the end of the episodes taped before filming was halted.
DOOL Spoilers – First Episodes Will Be Pandemic Hybrid
From October 6 to October 10, we will see a pandemic hybrid with the episodes that air. This is because some of the daily episodes were taped prior to the shutdown and the others were filmed afterward.
After that, then we will see full episodes that were filmed after everyone went back to work in September.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – No Dolls Were Promised
The Bold and the Beautiful has become quite famous for using dolls after production resumed. However, this is a fairly routine thing to do in the filming industry and has been for many decades. Many times, they are used as corpses, accident victims, and things like that, not as make-out fill-in bodies, though. It has been stated by several Days of Our Lives actors that they were promised they wouldn’t have to kiss any dolls.
However, we probably will see social distancing. The soap will probably use creative lighting angles and tricks, too.
DOOL Spoilers – Mini-Story Arc
In order to get the soap to air Christmas around the same time that the holiday is actually happening in real life, they came up with a mini-story arc. There is no information on which characters it will be focused on. However, it will last 7-8 days via Soap Opera Digest. It seems rather short for a storyline, but it’s only real purpose is to get the timing right so Salem time matches up with our time, at least for the holiday episodes.
