Smith recently spoke to Soap Opera Digest about the pair’s departure and he shed light on what we can expect to see as the couple move on to a different chapter of their lives.

Days Of Our Lives spoilers – WilSon Will Be Sorely Missed By Fans Of The NBC Soap

How will the pair exit? According to Smith, Sonny’s brothers are starting a company in Arizona and they offer him an opportunity that is too good to pass up. But first, they will have to get past Will’s baby momma Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus).

They plan to take the baby with them, but she has other ideas. But in a wild twist of fate, Gabi herself must leave town and decides it is safer for the fathers to take the child. According to Smith, the last five episodes revolve around their decision to leave and take the child with them.

Of course, the pair must say their goodbyes, and the one with Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) was especially emotional for the handsome and talented actor. “Just because we’ve gone through so much as characters,” he shared.

He also states that the WilSon plot of, “a love story between two men,” is what will stick with him the most from his DOOL tenure.

He is “super proud,” of the work he did with Massey and their story meant the most to him. Between the two actors, they earned four Daytime Emmy Awards!

Days Of Our Lives spoilers – Will WilSon Return To Salem?

He was asked about a return and he has no idea if that will happen. As for the future, he says that Massey has talked about moving back to Georgia. Smith said he and his fiancé will be moving to Florida in about a month and a half.

Her family will be there and that is where she grew up. The couple is, “thinking about the next chapter of our life, about having kids and being closer to family.”

And he noted that actors can now be anywhere in the world and still audition. In the meantime, he plans to continue their podcast, The Freddie & Alyssa Show.
